Community Crisis Response

This on site assistance is provided by crisis counselors immediately following a disaster or crisis that has impacted an entire community.

How It Works:

The crisis response team arrives at the scene to assist victims with a variety of practical matters and emotional de-escalation. The team will assist with:
  • emotional and practical needs of victims on scene
  • provide debriefing sessions for groups
  • coordinate access to medical care or necessary services
  • facilitate relocations of community residents

Community Trauma Response

A team of experienced crisis counselors will facilitate a community meeting to address the emotional and psychological impact of a disaster or crisis. This debriefing service usually occurs within the first three days of an incident and provides community members with different coping strategies and a forum to address their grief and share their concerns.
