Operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year, the Crisis Response Program is the only service in Toronto that can provide immediate on-scene support to victims of crime and sudden tragedy.

Counsellors can attend hospitals, homes, local police divisions or crime scene locations to provide in person support when individuals may need it the most. When on scene, we offer crisis intervention, emotional support and immediate safety planning.

Our counsellors provide support from a trauma informed, client centered perspective to empower individuals as they begin their recovery and journey of healing through:

  • Emotional support both in person and over the phone
  • Practical assistance
  • Safety planning
  • Resources gathering and referrals to additional supports
  • Advocacy

The Crisis Response Team is reflective of the diverse communities in Toronto and has the capacity to assist individuals in over 35 languages.
